Great Green Wall by Alisa Campbell Photo by Thomas Park on Unsplash I was so excited when my family moved into our first house, but not for the spacious rooms, my own bed, or even the new school that I was dreading to start in the middle of the 5th grade. We were going to live next to a baseball stadium. It was Decrepit, extremely old and full of wonder. It stood like the mountains surrounding it. It felt safe. Almost like a guardian I used to walk around the long walls of the stadium waiting to pick up my little sister from the bus stop. Crushing of leaves beneath my feet and fall winds pushing me forward I'd listen to the seas of people screaming at the spectacle of baseball and although I loathed sports I always try to find the lowest points of the wall, pull up a block of cement, and wobble up to the points of my feet to watch.
